Okay here's the deal. The Ace of Cosplay: Totally BS! 2. Didn't release it last year because I missed a bunch of deadlines and other things as well. Now I want to put in a game segment using the ORIGINAL Maidrouser Engine with character select. Since I got most of the cels down last year, I hope for a summer release. The game is akin to the Castlevania series in feel.

Why am I tell you this? Because YOU get to be the star. Just give me your photo and who you would like to cosplay. Look at the phases for how this is going to be handled.

Oh yeah, this is NOT suppose to contend with Zee's Sketch Yourself thread, since this thread is meant to benefit said game segment.

Story:

Akira Asulan has stupidly used her dad's disc containing something "evil" from Foxgrave (he was researching the disc for an antivirus with the I2A) and installed on Sephia's computer. The next day at the Daytona City Anime Convention, all hell broke loose and her computer transformed into some freaky thing, kidnapped Sephia and rampaged through the convention halls. Now it's up to a few brave cosplayers crazy enough to stop the rampaging computer until the proper authorities arrive!

The phases:
This is the first phase, gathering up the competitors. This will end May 15.

Phase Two, I'll have a running poll for about two weeks, most likely write-in depending on the how many submissions. This will most likely happen in Boredom and Randomness section.

Phase Three, ten top winners will be selected (five from VAC and VAA each). In case of two competitors cosplay as the same character, the one of the most vote will be in, while the latter will be discarded, and the runner up will be selected. The only exception will be if the super special you want is significantly different. But it is encouraged that you have a "backup" cosplay if you chose a popular character as you first choice.

Bottom line:
What's required:
-A good photo of your face at least, and character you want to cosplay.
-What is your normal attack, please be descriptive. (optional, but required when you actually win...because I have to design the animations as well.)
-What is your super special, please be descriptive. (optional, but required when you actually win...blah blah blah)
-Only ONE super special due to the engine.
-Your Victory Quote
-For V-quote examples, here's a GameFAQ guide for King of Fighters 2003.

What I'll do:
-Obviously you in cosplay
-My style has the simplicity of a French-style anime.
-The picture will be drawn up like a Street fighter-style victory screen with the dramatic camera and poses. Hence why I would like victory quotes.
-If you don't put in all the requirement, I'm afraid I have to decline your request.

Winners:
-A place in the roster for the Ace of Cosplay: TotallyBS! 2
-Get to voice your character as youself (or act as your cosplayed character)

Here's a preview shot. I know there's 12 slots total, but that's how I designed it. It is subject to change.

Timeline:
-This will be left up for about two months, depending on the amount of contenders. I may cap it at around twenty-five, thirty entries.
-Since I'm on a week vacation right now, and it appears I don't have hours given to me at the place I work, I can create up to two pics a day. After that it'll maybe take up to three days per pic.

Requests on queue.
(order goes "Awaiting Sketch", "Sketched", "Inked", then queue is deleted since it's finished.)

Jam Avalon as Hellsing's Sera Victoria. (There are eight slots total, and two of them are reserved for my original character in cosplay. Jam is one of them. So yeah, that's why there are going to be only six winners.) Given Jam's build, especially her bust size, Sera was an obvious choice for me. She's also the first new "Avalon" I drew up in years, which I am really happy with.

This was an interesting one to do, because it was totally out of my style. I was dissatisfied at first, but after I became back, and finished it, my opinion was turned around. The way it was cropped gave the extreme shot of the leg the necessary emphasis given the requested attack methods.

Ah yes, the noble Wolfwood. I had fun drawing this since he was my favorite Trigun character, all because of that cross. The posing was easy, but the execution was pretty tough, because of the extreme shot of the cross. I did notice some stubbles in the real photo, but they were omitted because I'd rather represent those under color rather than lineart (It'd looked too messy).

One challenge I had while drawing this is the fact that Rorschach is a masked character, so I drew him "unmasked" or else it'll look like just another fanart. If he is chosen as a playable character, then he'll appear masked like in the comics. The image is tilted, because I kept on forgetting that I'm working on a theatrical widescreen setting. But because I'm going with odd beat camera angles, it worked out for the best. The flames also added to the Street Fighter effect and the weapon choice.

I have to admit, I have trouble drawing brawny characters. I planned out two different poses, and this is the one I chose since he sounds more like a weapons guy. If he is chosen as a playable character, then this victory screen will most likely be redrawn. After seeing the real pic, I thought it would be interesting to have him with a pondering demeanor, a tactician.

I don't really have much to say about this one. I was thinking about the tornado special, so I thought of this rising attacking angle that is reminiscent of Sakura's SFA3 victory screen.

I was talking with a friend of mine about the non-nonsensical aspect of the TBS series and it got into the talks about this character. He told me some things that did help out with the making of this character.

This was an interesting one, since I've never seen GTO, but the clothes are pretty casual. Nothing more to say here.

An interesting character to say the least. The art of wielding three swords. If this character gets chosen, this would be a fun one to experiment with. Depending on how I handle this one, the victory screen will be redrawn.

After the new "Meet the Scout" video came out, I got a different view on the character. I tried my best on the perspective shot of the bat. I'll try again if the character gets chosen.

Due to some problems with life and myself working on Cyberangel 888, Project SWANSONG, and Zelda: DestiRi, I'm releasing the sketched versions of the remaining characters. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm a fan of the Half Life series and I've enjoyed the games very much. Just the fact the story and cinematics are told through the eyes of YOU, getting you involved rather than just a witness. The easy part was Mothman's head, but the HEV suit was the tougher part, since it's one while suit rather than multiple pieces.

Ah, another masked character. I've decided on the unmasked version just to show the cosplayer's face. But there's a twist, flexing my own creativity, the iconic axe-like design over the mask is on his face (the only thing missing is the glowing green eyes) for an organic look.

If there is one thing I fail to notice, it is that Ryugxu is actually going to cosplay as Yuna or Lenne, so thank her for the release of these remaining pics. So this was somewhat easy for me. She does look like them in a way, so what was the easy part. The clothes...it's now the type I draw often (although I do think about getting into costume designs from time to time), so it was tough.
