 Kim Jong-il is dead.
« Thread Started on Dec 19, 2011, 2:09am »

Quote:
North Korean leader Kim Jong-il has died at the age of 69, state-run television has announced.

Mr Kim, who has led the communist nation since the death of his father in 1994, died on a train while visiting an area outside the capital, the announcement said.

He suffered a stroke in 2008 and was absent from public view for months.

His designated successor is believed to be his third son, Kim Jong-un, who is thought to be in his late 20s.

North Korea's state-run news agency, KCNA, urged people to unite behind the younger Kim.

"All party members, military men and the public should faithfully follow the leadership of comrade Kim Jong-un and protect and further strengthen the unified front of the party, military and the public," the news agency said.

A funeral for Kim Jong-il will be held in Pyongyang on 28 December and Kim Jong-un will head the funeral committee, KCNA said. A period of national mourning has been declared from 17 to 29 December.

I have to wonder now what will happen in the near future of North Korea. I really don't know that things will be much better under Kim Jung Il's son...

No, he's not. He just morphed into a cockroach and escaped to his home planet.

They say he died of a stroke or something. That's a shame... That piece of shit deserved a bullet to the head.

I've known some people who visited North Korea (for some charity thing, of course; not leisure).

Kim Jong-Il is regarded as a god there. Quite literally, in fact. Years of propaganda made it possible for some stupid-looking motherfucker to be viewed as a deity. It doesn't help that North Korea is full of superstitious idiots who would rather starve to death than to question the divinity of a selfish tyrant. Of course, not EVERYONE in North Korea is a dumbass fanatic.

The people I've mentioned who visited North Korea had the opportunity to talk to some of it's people. As they were telling me about this, one particular encounter stuck with me.

They were discussing the possibility of North Korea and South Korea going to war. One woman said she hoped for it to happen soon. When asked why, she said something along the lines of...

"We are willing to die if it means that North Korea will change."

People make a big deal out of it, but the man's been sick for a while. He has a successor. Probability is high that nothing will change. Kim Jong Il was also anointed his godhood by his piece-of-shit father. I don't have high hopes for any integrity in Kim Jong-Un.

And on Barney's grave, it'll read: "Got slapped so hard by Marshall, he died."
