Legend of Zelda: Chains of Darkness // The animated series

Creators notes:
Hi there, you can call me Alph until we get to know one another better and whatnot. So anyways- I am creating a little (or big, whatever) animated series called, "Legend of Zelda: Chains of Darkness". This series will be a little step further into the villain we have come to know and love, Ganondorf. Yes, yes Link and Zelda will both still be in it because come on how can we have a game without the proper hero? Anyways so the reason I started this because I currently started getting back into the Legend of Zelda series and am thoroughly disappointed with what little we know about Ganon. So that's kinda why I did it.

Summery:

The series centers on Link, the main character and protagonist. Link is often given the task of rescuing Princess Zelda in the most common setting of the series, Hyrule, from Ganon—also known as Ganondorf—who is usually the primary antagonist of the series. However, in this animated series we start off about the end of that epic conquest at the great battle between the two. About in the midst of the fight between the triforce wielders a dark portal opens up and the two plummet into darkness. The two mortal enemies awake to realize that a massive chain has linked the two together, but now if they do not work together they may never see Hyrule or anything they previously knew ever again.

So that's a very, very, very, watered down summery. Forgive me.

So I would like to keep tabs on anyone interested because even though there are only four (technically two are speaking...link is going to remain mute-ish) main roles I have plenty of odd side characters.

Requirements are:

• Clear speech
• Good Quality Microphone
• Be available for when I come to your call for your voice
• Gotta work for free bro'
• Don't abandon me // Motivation really helps me get things going
• Can take a joke

Auditions:

**Note: These are NOT the only characters in the series. They are simply the "main" character aside from Link. They are the ones I really need voices for not saying I won't need other actors for minor parts by any means. Also got some lines written today.

Demo reals are fine and whatnot but if you plan to audition for these roles then I would appreciate if you could record these lines separately and either send me link or the actual file.

Characters I am looking for and qualities I want:

Ganondorf the Thief Lord: Rough, manly, I mean obviously not a child. I mean come on the guy is like in late 20's early 30's. He is a scary son of a gun.

Lines:

(Spiteful) "Pathetic fool, you know not who your dealing with."
(Normal) "Well now....I suppose I shall have to take care of this myself."
(Irritated)" What on earth are you doing?!"
(Angry) "Boy, you will pay for your ignorance with death."
(Cocky) "Ha- you think you beat me? Well you are sorely mistaken"
(Stoic) "It's nothing....Nothing you should concern yourself with."
(Laughter)
(Darker Chuckle)
(Scoff)

Zelda: Late teens, borderline adulthood (mid-teens/late teens), strong yet passionate. Liston to some of her actual very minute dialog if you can.

Lines:

(Calm) "Oh, well.....I suppose if I must, I must...."
(Distressed)" Link, where could you be?"
(Fear) "No! Get away from me!"
(Anger) "You are the pure incarnate of evil and should be banished from this pure land. "
(Happy) "This day marks the end to a calm.... You see the way the wind blows? I know he is alright...."
(Slight laugh)
(Crying)

Main villain/villainess (might be a woman might have reversible heads, might be twins- haven't decided.): This character is the main evil doer behind the whole plot really they are sly, cunning, almost think seductive in tongue in a way. Duality in a way. Their goal is to corrupt the hero and sink both Ganon and link further into a world of darkness.

Lines:

(Anger) "Why you little- I offer you all and you disobey me?!"
(Seductive) "Why now, now.....There is no reason to get into such a fuss."
(Morbid Curiosity) "Well, well, what have we hear? Lost your way have you?"
(Spiteful Joy) "Oh, come now my dear- things can't possibly get worse. Oh! I forgot, they can."
(Empathetic) "The poor dear...not to worry my sweet, the darkness is a comforting force....just allow it in. "
(Devious)"You were looking to use that? Oh~ silly me. Looks like it's gone however so you might want to hurry. Nights here are especially unforgiving."
(Laughter)
(Sigh)

This character is extremely important for they tie the main plot together though I am willing for work with what I get when It comes to their voice. The voice I choose for them is really what will design this character/s.

I don't have any animation samples yet aside from that one but youtube likes to eat the quality. So gotta fix that before I post anything.

I would say the easiest way to directly contact me is through Yahoo or email. Though PM on here is something that will definitely be seen.

Animation: I was hoping for in total each animation"episode" to run twenty minutes long- however I will create them in two parts each running about ten minutes each. They will be done in the animation example style I posted and to the best of my abilities I will make them look good.

Deadline: The deadline for this will be beginning of Jan. so like the first week- unless I finish early on the animation. So for now the "set" date will be: January 7th 2012.

I am gonna really push myself to complete at least one episode and I'll see how well it's received after that. Also see where my actors are at and whatnot to see if there will be more.

EDIT: I notice you don't have an email address or means of contact up besides the obvious PM choice. Can you please either list an email or a Skype/MSN name we can contact you on? I'd be interested in this, I could probably rip some clips from previous auditions and send you something or just read out this post in different voices... but yeah... just once you have all that stuff Sonicmega pointed out.

Jethrotext, well I would love to hear what you have. I got some lines up today if you would much prefer to record something new (I would like to have copies of everyone resiting the same lines eventually). I look forward to receiving a recording if you do decide to audition. In the meanwhile I will stalk your youtube page.
