Hey, I'm Steve! (sesherber@hotmail.com)
Looking for a number of voice actors to play parts for an original level project using the classic STAR WARS: DARK FORCES engine. Have a number of opportunities here for male and female speakers to play some major and minor characters from the classic / expanded universe as well as the chief protagonist and antagonist. Most of all, need some people who want to have some fun. 
As a special note, I would encourage lower sample rates on audio files at around 11025hz.
Deadline is May 15th 2012.

Osirus Kirby
A freelance agent with no ties to anyone but himself. Kirby's morals are dubious, his sense of humor twisted, but his skills are undeniable. Turned down a personal offer from Darth Vader to pursue the Millennium Falcon before it was turned over to the galaxy's bounty hunters. "Too high profile." He said afterwards.
Kirby would be male and in his late 30's - 40's. I originally had him envisioned as a cheeky Austrailian, but remain flexible. This would be somebody who's been there and done that, seen a lot of war, and has this inherant roughness. Totally action hero in some respects, with the silly one liners. But capable of being serious enough to be good at what he does. This is the guy you play as for the duration on the missions, so there'll be a fair bit to do here.
"Copy that, I'm in position."
"Good, bad, as long as I get paid."
"I guess I owe you a drink after all!"
"I work alone... But thanks for the offer!"

Emperor Palpatine

The supreme ruler of the Galactic Empire. He is a true master of the Dark Side of the Force and responsible for almost single handedly engineering the demise of the Galactic Republic. Though aged and decrepit looking he is a cunning and diabolical foe who few dare to oppose.
Played in the films by Ian McDiarmid. Palpatine has a gravelly voice with a hint of McDiarmid's english accent and is very distinctive. Possibly THE bad guy role.

Darth Vader

Palpatine's right hand and the Dark Lord of the Sith. Darth Vader is the symbol of the Galactic Empire's doctrine of rule through power. Encased in black armour needed to support his life and a death's head helmet, the ruthless and cruel Vader is a brilliant tactician and powerful enemy.
Played in the films by James Earl Jones. Probably one of the most well known and iconic villains in anything. Vader has a deep baratone, a result of the equipment in his mask. Some pitch shifting might be needed.

Admiral Selphius
A highly skilled fleet Admiral who won the acclaim of Grand Admiral Thrawn during the internal war against the traitorous Grand Admiral Zaarin. His personality is utterly driven and prepared to do what needs to be done to win. He has led a distinguished career of service for the Empire as a celebrated fleet admiral and won numerous major battles prior to serving with Thrawn. It is rumored he has connections to Imperial Intelligence.
In his 50's, older, and stereotypically English without being pompous. He's a total hard ass and has no patience for ineptitude. If he was your boss you'd be scared to deal with him.

"Commander, prepare the defenses and position your men. Do not fail me."

Ysanne Isard
The infamous director of Imperial Intelligence. She is cold, analytical, and utterly ruthless. Egotistical, self-centered, and cruel, she will do whatever it takes to get what she wants, and for that reason she's called "ice heart." But not to her face.
Frankly put, she's a huge bitch and she'll backstab you if you look at her wrong. Being that there are a handful of women in the Imperial Forces and given she's probably had to claw her way to her position (and took it by killing her own father) it's probably a reasonable reaction.

"Tell your men the next time they mess up like this I'll have their hearts on my desk."
"You'll tell me everything I want to know."

Stormtrooper #1 & Stormtrooper #2
Generic characters, the Imperial stormtrooper makes up the bulk of the Empire's infantry. Though originally comprised of clones of the notorious bounty hunter Jango Fett, the Imperial army now recruits regular soldiers from the populations under their control.
There's no "set" Stormtrooper, though they tend to range from generic grunts to the accent of Temurra Morrison. These would be random lines spoken by the enemies you encounter in the game as well as incidental voiceovers.
"What is this? Another drill or something?"
"Stop in the name of the Emperor!"
"Call for reinforcements!"
"Hey, where did that guy come from? Does he have clearance?"

Imperial Officer #1 & Imperial Officer #2
Another set of generic characters, the Imperial officer is the standard command and control of the Empire's forces. Ranging from regimental officers to commanders of entire space fleets, they are usually selected from the best of the Empire's best and trained exhaustively.
More or less the same as the troopers. Looking for a brit who doesn't mind playing over the top for one and somebody else who can sound stern and authoritative.
"Trooper! Why aren't you in uniform??!"
"Attack! Attack! Show them no mercy!"
"Security has reported an intruder..."
"Very well, captain. You may proceed with the mission."

TIE Fighter Pilot #1 & TIE Fighter Pilot #2
Imperial pilots are considered the elite forces of Imperial space fleets. Manning the TIE series starfighters, they are highly skilled and trained in a variety of craft to handle different mission profiles. Like most pilots, they share a common belief they are superior to the enemy even when their technology isn't.
These are special parts I don't want to spoil too much. Needless to say I'm looking for all business tough guy fighter aces.
"Alpha 1, go to point oh four and prepare for your run."

Mon Mothma

The "president" of the Rebel Alliance and the beacon from which much of their support forms. She is an old enemy of Emperor Palpatine and his Galactic Empire having been one of their strongest political opponents before the dissolution of the Senate. Often soft spoken and wise, she is equally a practical mastermind when it comes to disrupting the superior forces of the Empire.
Portrayed by Caroline Blakiston in the original films. She is clearly entering middle aged and exudes this calm patience despite the galaxy going to hell.

"This is a dangerous mission. May the Force be with you."

A no-nonsense fleet Admiral. Notorious for his belief in a crack military force, and with little time for hotshots, he is among the most disciplined in the Alliance. His sense of humour is exceedingly sarcastic if a little dark.
In Rebel Assault II Krane is depicted by a little known actor who can play a tough guy.

Captain Merrick Simms

A veteran X-Wing pilot and leader of the Alliance's Blue Squadron. He is known for his total calm in the face of death and has the added boast of being one of the pilots to survive the assault on the Death Star. He is a quick thinking leader and favorite of his pilots.
Simms would be the guy who would be watching a hundred enemy fighters coming towards them and would feel confident they'd still win. He's absolutely unshakeable and all about the job at hand.

"Here we go. Stay tight."

Commander Ru Murleen

An experienced pilot whose life is flying. Often finding humour in everything, Murleen is also a capable Rebel agent, having had time out of the cockpit as an infiltrator. She is the 2nd in command of Blue Squadron in the absense of Simms.
Portrayed in Rebel Assault by her namesake Ru Murleen and Julie Ecceles in Rebel Assault II.

Commander Jake Farrell

One of the most skilled operators of the Alliance's A-Wing starfighter. He survived the battle of Yavin and continues to train new recruits. He takes joy in knocking hotshot pilots down a peg, emphasizing control and discipline over fancy flying.
Farrell is a hard ass, but not so much that you wouldn't like him. You get the impression he's stern because he has to be.

Captain Bren Derlin

A survivor of the battle of Hoth, Bren Derlin is a senior officer, capable soldier, and respected leader.
A very minor character played by the beloved John Ratzenburger. As such, we're aiming for his Bostonian accent. This is a bit part to add a spice of humor to the later levels. I mean, listen to the guy!

Lieutenant Judder Page
A former Imperial and highly trained SpecForce agent, Page is no stranger to covert operations and stealth. He is able to easily blend in on any world and has undergone extensive survival training.
A character who is described as young but capable. Probably a bit cocky.

"Get ready, we'll move on my signal."
"That tower's gotta go. Get the heavy ordnance."

Rebel Commando #1 & Rebel Commando #2
Trained in guerilla warfare and lacking much of the technology of the Empire, Rebel soldiers are none the less the most tenacious of fighters. From all walks of life and species in the galaxy, they band together to fight for freedom against the tyrannical Galactic Empire.
Unlike the Imperial army Rebel soldiers are vastly underequipped but they "want it more." This could be male or female and however you like, so everybody's welcome to try out. Picture a gruff freedom fighter. Now give that a laser gun.
"All right, men! Charge 'em!"
"We've got to take that position!"
"The target is down. What's next?"
"Hey, hey, we've got contact!"

Allrighty, folks! Wow, we're wrapping up now. I am amazed at the quantity and quality of auditions sent, and I'm organizing my cast as we speak. I'll be getting back to those who got parts, and for the rest of you, I am really thankful you tried out. This has been an awesome and fun experience!
