| | M/F Extras for Cartoon-Lights Camera Fail CLOSED « Thread Started on May 10, 2012, 3:16am » | |
THESE AUDITIONS ARE NOW CLOSED.
Thanks so much to everyone who auditioned. I've sent an email to everyone who got a part. Sorry if you didn't get a part. There were a lot of good ones, but I couldn't cast everyone. Keep in mind that I will be using this site for future projects. So, keep an eye out for that! _________________________________________________________
Lights Camera Fail is an animated comedy about a group of people attempting to make a short film. In the first scene, there are auditions in which there are several extras with one or two lines each. There are also extras in another scene who are being interviewed about a new movie in theatres. Because these extras have so few lines, saying the lines shown below is all that will be required of you.
If you would like to look at some of my other animations you can find them at http://www.youtube.com/user/pikalolz _________________________________________________________
Unless specified, all parts can be played by either males or females between the ages of 14 and 30 with an accent natural to you. An image is attached of some of the characters.

Extra 1: 1. “Sorry, I get nervous in front of cameras. They make me- bleh!” Extremely nervous and worried. Note that the ‘bleh’ part is the sound of spewing up.
Extra 2: (Young female 8 - 18 years) 1. “I can touch my elbow with my tongue! Ehh.” 2. “I can touch my nose with my tongue! Ehh.” 3. “The main guy was really hot ... but his voice sounded funny.” Hyperactive, immature, highly enthusiastic, cheerful, optimistic, happy, on a sugar high etc. Note that the ‘ehh’ part is the sound of you attempting to touch your nose or elbow with your tongue (touching your nose or elbow with your tongue is optional).
Extra 3: (Male 16 or older) 1. “The posters said there’d be free food here.” Lots of negative attitude. 2. “The camera was shaking so much I couldn’t see anything. It was awesome!” Enthusiastic, happy etc.
Extra 4: 1. “What is a script?” Naive, confused, bewildered etc. 2. “It was a nice, classic, family, adventure movie.” Jolly, happy, cheerful etc.
Extra 5: (Female) 1. (singing) “Hot girls we have problems to!” American accent. Singing badly, tone deaf, awkward pitch changes etc. 2. (complaining) “Who would anyone hate this movie? It’s not lame. It’s telling a story. Why don't you get it? It’s supposed to be artististic!” Melodramatic, annoying, whiny, stubborn, irritated, frustrated, angry etc. Note that the typos are intentional (‘Who would anyone’ and ‘artististic’).
Extra 6: 1. “Will I get paid for this?” Very negative, lots of attitude.
Extra 7: (Male) 1. “Are these the auditions for Toaster Head?” Enthusiastic, bright, chirpy, curious etc. 2. “Red doesn’t need any backup. She just needs some crackers. Because that was just too ... cheesy.” Cheeky, overconfident, smug, easy going etc. Note: Emphasize the lame joke.
Extra 8: 1. “I like to think of this film as a comedy to avoid a boredom induced coma.” Formal, unimpressed, negative etc.
Extra 9:(Male 16 or older) 1. “I cried through every second of it.” Melodramatic, emotional, passionate, etc.
Extra 10: 1. “What was that regurgitated media excrement?” Cynical, skeptical, scornful etc.

Extra 13: (Female 17 or older) 1. “In unrelated news, it’s the premier of the just released action thriller remake of Little Red Riding Hood. We’re going to interview some of the very first viewers of the film for their opinions.” 2. “Well, that concludes tonight’s stories. I’m Sunny Day, and this is Tree News.” Formal, expressive, lively etc.

My Demo Reel20 year-old from Seattle. I'm just getting started in the voice acting community, but I've wanted to for years! My voice is well-suited for young girls, or women with mid-tone voices. Wendy Powell from FUNimation is my hero! |
