o_o; Neato... And yet, I find this more suited for VA's than producers...? <--- had trouble deciding where to move this
[EDIT]: Finally decided to put it in this section.

Actually, stumbled upon this site a little while ago: http://web.ku.edu/~idea/ That is the International Dialects of English Archive, or IDEA for short. It has more accent samples than any voice actor could ever want. Also, it specifies regional accents (meaning they don't give you British accents, they give you Sussex and London accents, etc.).

I think I need to brush up on my English accent, I get mixed opinions on it; it's either East London, or an "American" trying too hard to be British. Thanks for linking these.

Can you please upload these to sendspace or foreshare? Mega asks for a code, and I'm visually impaired so I can't type in the letters. Emailing the zip folder would work too. My email is tanja631@gmail.com Thanks for providing this. I've been looking for accent tapes forever.

Might be a little late posting here ( as usual ) but how do you work an accent without making it sound too stereotypical or worse. RACIALLY INSENSITIVE. If they are asian you shouldn't just automatically go "HEY! I'LL REPRACE ALLRA RETTA L'S WITHA RETTER R'S!" You need to think things through when doing these things. First off Asian people do not have a voice ( especially in Chinese politics ) Instead its the people of nations that have voices. Its like trying to go for a North American ( continental ) voice! Its not only generalizing but it also interferres with characterization. Let me give an example for how it interferres.
EXAMPLE
Lets say your doing something about asian culture and your voicing individuals of these cultures. Having a small mix up with L's and R's seems like a good idea since its true and it wouldn't be too over the top. But in actuality you did many things wrong. The L and R thing as far as I know at least is only a Japanese thing not Asian in general. Now pretend the director tells you this and informs you that your actually voicing South Koreans. The L and R thing was your only method of characterization and now that its gone you have nothing as a base for your "characterization". Thats why you don't generalize you need to study each country and even regions to be able to get an accent just right.
And now an uproar from the members and mods alike for my unintended racial insensitiveness. Irony!

I know it has been a long while since these audio clips have been online, however it seems that all of them have been blocked recently, so if anyone wants to hear the accent clips, they cannot anymore.
Unless this thread has been updated elsewhere, in which case... *facepalm*
