| | Recasting female roles for "Fallout 3: Rebirth" « Thread Started on Sept 27, 2011, 11:21am » | |
Repost from another board.
OK, this is THE THIRD TIME I have had to cast these roles. Two disappeared and now the other has other things to do. To say I'm a tad... frustrated... is to say the least. These are pivotal roles and I can't continue without them. And so I will stress, yet again, DO NOT AUDITION IF YOU ARE NOT SERIOUS AND HAVE NO INTENTION OF STICKING WITH IT! I'm winding my series down because machinima.com SUCKS and I want out of my contract as soon as I'm done with my series. And having to recast every time I do these videos is ridiculous.
That being said, one of the roles is controversial, because I wanted her to be that way. This story has no morals and I don't do Disney happy joy joy stuff.
So keep that in mind. If you don't want to say weird things and have a problem with it I stress not to bother with auditioning because I'm not changing anything to be "more appropriate".
For characters, reference episode 6:
What is your project? Fallout 3: Rebirth
What is it about? A machinima.com series about the fate of the world. Watch the videos.
What are you looking for? A million dollars a day. But since I can't have that, I'll settle for great voice actresses.
Characters, voice and lines
What Characters are open? Heather and Sarah Lyons
What's their personality? Sarah Lyons is a brotherhood of steele soldier. She appears in the game, if you've ever played it. And she continues in this series. But in the series she is very angry, bitter, and trigger happy. But also emotionally vulnerable. How I want her played you can see in episode 6. Heather is the "controversial" character. She is intelligent, self sufficient, and a pervert. It comes from her harsh childhood she experienced in New Vegas. She has no moral barriers when it comes to what, or who she wants. She speaks very "sultry". And yes, if you watch the videos, it's clear what she wants.
What should they sound like? How old? What accent? Reference the videos, or Sarah Lyons in fallout 3.
Deadline When are all auditions supposed to be in by? October 5th
Email, format, zip, text file?
Where should they send auditions to? anarchist86ed@yahoo.com
What kind of format would you like them in? How would you like the lines named? Should they zip them? .wav or .mp3 zipped.
She doesn't say many long lines in episode 7, so if you want you can make up something you want to say in your audition.
FEMALE Name: Sarah Lyons Age: 30 or 40's. Bio: Brotherhood of steele turned resistance soldier. Voice type: Reference the above video, episode 6 or fallout 3. Audition line 1: How do we kill them? There's gotta be a way of killing them. How? How do we do it? Audition line 2: Making their bellies full and putting money in their pockets is a much more powerful weapon then a nuke.
FEMALE Name: Heather Age: Teens Bio: Reference above. Voice type: As I said, she's sultry. Speaks in a very "sexual" way. Audition line 1: These A.I. things are such a pain in the ass. And I don't mean the fun kind. Audition line 2: I know, kid. I didn't grow up in a cold metal box with robots. I grew up in a much less sterile environment. When I was your age I knew about a lot of things, and saw a lot of things you shouldn't see, or do, at that age. I guess it really screwed me up. Audition line 3: My mom's sister, Angie, raised me. She was kind of a "shoulder to cry on" as she explained it, but I always thought she was just an underpaid prostitute. And my uncle Nicky, well, not really my uncle, was a "detective" back in Vegas. I'd sit with him for hours and hours listening to his stories. My favorite was the "case of the golden boxing gloves"
If you have any questions, please post. If you want more information about Heather, feel free to ask. And remember not to audition if you're not serious. ALSO, if you want to do BOTH roles, you're most welcome to. I prefer to keep cast minimal for this very reason of having to constantly recast.
I also require high quality audio. If it sounds like it was recorded from a phone call, I don't want it. Sorry.
