Hello!
As an introduction, my name is Ali and I am 22 years old, hailing from the lovely state of Florida. I was classically trained in opera and musical theater from an early age and picked up acting in high school. Since then my path has continued to twist and turn and eventually led me here to voice acting. My two loves together at last!
I joined this forum because I work with my coach once a week but in between sessions I'm just itching to get my hands on some good copy and get to work! I know we all have very supportive friends and family that try to train with us, but I would love to connect with some fellow aspiring VA that would like to start up a little network of reading pals. We can get together via Skype and just do some reading and exercises and have some fun while gaining more experience.

Hello Ali, fair Floridian (is that right?), and welcome to the VAC! Sounds like you've been set on the path to VAing and got in some solid training in the use of your voice from early on. I maaay be mildly jealous -- musical theatre always seems like it would be so much fun to participate in!
I think I may have at some point read a thread with a suggestion similar to yours, of forming a group to network on Skype and practice reading and VAing -- I'm not sure how far back that was though, so it may be worth your while to try searching the forums and, if that doesn't help, creating a thread in the appropriate section to try and reach out to others who might be interested.
Again, welcome to the forums and good luck with your auditions, your reading network and with improving your skills as a voice actress!
