Makes you wonder about weapon restrictions of different places. If I remember correctly (heard this one a long time ago), handguns are legal in france but nunchakus aren't.

Because to get a gun permit you need to be in the army, police or have a lot of money.

Been quite some time since I updated this; so much has happened, yet so little has changed. Among the new activities is my pursuit of a private pilot's license. I am up to 7 logged hours of flight training out of the 40 required, on track to start flying solo in a few hours. As I get further into the training, I'll start spending more time with cross-country flying: traveling long distances, necessitating navigation skills and pre-flight planning. I just finished planning a 4-6 hour round trip flight I'll be making tomorrow.
