I should fly down to Melbourne in October for Armageddon at Jeff's Shed, quite a line up; Paul Eiding, Kevin Conroy, Kyle Hebert, Steve Blum and Troy Baker.
Fuck yeah, saving my dosh. Guess this also puts drive behind seeing my niece, though that makes me sound like a bastard uncle, which I'm not, i've been stuck up here.

Am now without a place to live come September, thanks to AWESOME FRIENDS (COMPLETE SARCASM BY THE WAY) who didn't respond to a single text or message or call over the last month regarding the lease and payment due TODAY. TWO out of three of my formerly-future roommates BOTH decided to tell me TODAY that they weren't going to be moving in after all. OH FUCK YOU VERY MUCH. You both have a place to live right now. LAH FUCKING DAH, didn't realize you'd be fucking two other people over, right?

Yeah.
Fuck you.
Consider these friendships over.
I'm so sorry to hear that. That really sucks. I sure hope you get it worked out!

I've come to terms with the Lemmy.
If you are planning on growing a mustache, consider this thought; Like many glorious feats man can accomplish in this beautiful world, having a mustache is not something that just anyone can pull off.
To be quite blunt, some people should NEVER grow a mustache. Don't even get me STARTED on those hipster pricks.

I don't know why everyone was so harsh on that thread about the foreverpandering guy. I thought he was pretty damn swell. He definitely was acting, especially in this clip, which I really enjoyed. I thought he had a great character going and really enjoyed his performance. It was a great, comedically uplifting, hilarious monologue.
Generic is never a term I would throw on a voice, just on a performance. I think each individual performance should be critiqued, not an overall voice actor. Slashy was definitely pretty hyped up, but with good reason. The guy's got talent. Not saying he's better than anyone else, and I don't think Slashy meant offense to anyone when he said foreverpandering sets the standard, but he's definitely good and he's got a passion for it. Just like the rest of us. I was just surprised how unsupportive that thread was. Harsh on Slashy and the the voice actor.

^I found his content obnoxious, like chucking in stuff because it would sound funny, that "random humour" just for the sake of being random, in a deadpan manner, when I believe there are better ways to deliver deadpan humour. I won't lie, he's got something, which is great mic quality and nice range, but I want to hear it in a demo with good material.
I guess I jump straight into a defensive stance once someone says "standard in amatuer voice acting", as it's not a fair thing to say to others, even if it's minuscule to me, but it also doesn't help the person's case if the person who is pimping him starts to say we don't like it because we are ashamed. That doesn't get on anyone's good side.
If slashy knows this guy, or IS the guy, then he should come here and audition, post a demo reel, and such. If he is the guy, then I don't really appreciate the ego, but i'm not going to assume such things.
In his defense, he's done more than me with much higher quality, and everyone's entitled to like his stuff.

I didn't think anyone was an asshole in that thread, they just weren't going to take any sass. If everyone had their reasons as to why they're not impressed, then they're entitled to their reasons.
Who knows, I could receive the same treatment when I FINALLY get a demo reel done. And I'd embrace any critique that comes my way.

I found that guy's work as unimpressive, just because it was what it was. Unimpressive. I've actually heard better on amateur voice actors.
But it's kinda rude to set a standard on amateur voice actors, especially on an internet board/website such as this one. It'd kinda make some of the amateur voice actors feel that their recordings would be unwelcome, especially if they were like me and had a microphone that sounded like crap.
However, if that standard were something crappy like one of my old recordings, then voice actors could flood in with an ego boost saying "Ha! My acting is better than the standards!" or something. Some might realize that it's a trick to lure actors in, I dunno.
Anyway, before my point is derailed about that foreverpandering guy, what I'm saying is this: I've heard better from amateurs. However, in terms of recording quality, the guy's a boss. Wish I had a good setup that came out clear, but whatevz.
