Your Favorite Voice Actor « Thread Started on May 27, 2011, 1:52am »
I’ve been wondering: this is a forum completely filled with people that voice act; be it for hobby, practice or for their future so I dunno why I haven’t asked this before.
Essentially: who’s your favorite voice actor and what would we know them from?
Mine is Richard Ian Cox. I mostly like him cause he has this semi-wacky/gruff thing to his voice that can make him both the hero and the loveable goofball; the heroes he’s also played are pretty much my childhood in a nutshell. He’s been known as these guys:
Ranma ½ - Ranma(seasons4-7) Inuyasha – Inuyasha Zoids – Bit Cloud .hack//ROOTS – Itta Galaxy Angel – Normad My Little Pony FiM – Snails Being Ian - Ian

I actually have two favorites: Michelle Ruff and Kate Higgins. Yes, basically the two lead female characters of two popular series, lol. I actually got to meet Michelle in March during a convention which was really cool.
Some work Michelle Ruff has done: Bleach- Rukia Code Geass- Euphemia (probably my favorite character that she has done.) Gurren Lagann- Yoko Lucky Star- Tsukasa The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya- Yuki Nagato Chobits- Chi!
As for Kate Higgins: Naruto- Sakura Fate/Stay Night- Saber Code Geass- C.C. Eureka 7- Talho

I don't really have favourites, but I do have a new appreciation for Jennifer Hale since I'm hearing her so much at the moment in KotOR. She's also got a heckload of stuff under her belt, though the only other role I know well is Mazzy from BGII.
I may be an amateur voice actress, but I'm getting better with my voice range.

Though he is not my favorite voice actor Frank Welker is the most talented one I can think of. I don't really have favorite voice actors I have favorite moments that demonstrates voice acting. You observe them and then take note of the ones that do well displaying specific emotions and put them all together to make some sort of Frankensteins Monster of variety.

Not many people will have heard of him, but I really enjoy the work of Frank von Kuegelgen. He mostly provided dubbed voices for English language versions of Italian films, and he could play everything from protagonists to villains.
You can hear him dub the voice of the main character in this (NSFW)trailer:

For me, it's definitely Alyson Court, who voices Claire Redfield. She's been Claire's voice actor in all three appearances and I can't imagine anyone else voicing her at this point. I was thrilled when I learned she was back for Degeneration.
