the pervert inside you will always drag you into such situations.
I think you've gotten yourself into a situation here
which would be? That everyone disagrees with my opinion? Sex sells its just a fact. A fact that should tickle the irony of your rant.
Drag yourself over to youtube and watch really lame videos that have HIGH numbers in views because the thumbnail has a pretty girl in it.
Im gonna need a more of a informative response to whoever quotes me this time xD Posting a picture and telling me im banned will not count.
You guys are really telling me you think something sexual will not sell? Look at the porn industry! Or look in the movies or anime's nearly all of them have some sort of sexual ref. or flirting-like lines.
EXAMPLE: Disneys: The lion king - there are many scenes of simba getting pretty flirty with Nala
Example: Disneys: Aladin - heck theres a scene where jaz kiss'es jafar pretty intensely
-so the debate about how disney follows this cult of not using sex is false.
Though agreed stuff without any kind of sexual reference can be just as awesome, and jokes that do not use this sexuality come off as "Funnier" but... the next person who quotes this will just focus on anything that mentions "sex" in my post and completely ignore thefact that all of my posts are ON TOPIC! And the very fact that you keep zeroing in on anything perverted in my post (or any discussion of perversion) only supports my opinion!
The Dark days have ended, Embrace the new world order! *Thunder crashes*
I don't think that anyone was seriously disagreeing with you or actually threatening to ban you for your views. I'm sure that any reasonable person is completely aware of the "sex sells" mantra and agrees with it.
But back to the OP and original statement.
If you don't want to do "mature" (adult, explicit, vulgar, violent, sexual, etc) work then make it absolutely clear when you audition or communicate with a potential producer that you have your own rules on what you will and will not do.
At that point the actor and producer can either come to an agreement, the producer can look for someone else or the actor can quit depending on the response to that statement of limits.
But the artist should not object to the producer's right to create whatever world, atmosphere or dialogue they feel fits within their creative idea and the producer should not object to the actor's decisions to place limits on the scope of their work.
And to specifically address the OP's question, no, I don't disagree with you about mature or adult content not being necessary in every production and I certainly do agree that it is used excessively in most productions but at the end of the day the creator will choose what is written and the audience will choose what is consumed.

Hmm, there were many post of people telling me I wasnt welcome here and such. So this is what I was lead to believe. I still dont think people are able to quite understand what I was saying even though it agreed with the OP.
Why?
Because I mentioned "Sex" from an actual thread I saw here once XD
So it made everyone focus on the "Mature themed" part of my post:
which was the cause for this thread to be created > Which caused my response > Which caused people to focus on the mature themed portions.
