There is no set date for when the auditions end. They will end when I am done moving and getting settled down. Most likely I will be moving sometime around or in September but it could be longer. So that gives you plenty of time to audition and work on your voices. IF YOU WANT A WARNING A WEEKS ADVANCE WHEN THE DEADLINE IS SET leave a comment in on the video or in this thread!!!! And I will private message you so you know that the auditions will end soon!
Final Fantasy IX is rated T for Teen for suggestive themes and some cursing. If you are uncomfortable with cursing don't audition for a Tantulus character please.
Running Auditions for Final Fantasy IX Chapter 2! The fan-dubbing will take place in the evil forest. Old and new voice actors are welcome. We will not be doing auditions for characters that do not appear in the evil forest! Those characters will become available in later chapters! If you receive a role in Chapter 2 when the dub is complete and I decide to proceed with chapter three you will be given the option to leave or stay in the fandub and keep your character (Yes you can still audition for other characters as well). If you leave then your character or characterS will be posted as available for other to audition for in the next chapter. This dub will most likely move much slower then the other dubs I have worked on due to the fact that I must juggle college work and my personal life.
I'm not going to be SUPER picky about your mics quality just please avoid breathing into the mic or making a lot of popping sounds when you record. I'm going to ask that you download Audacity and take a tutorial on how to remove white noise though. Audacity is perfectly free and legal to use I will provide you with download links if you are accepted into the fandub.
Uncommon Minor characters such as towns people ect. will be voiced randomly by everyone!

Main Characters
Accent: American Voice: Low Medium - Medium High Main characters -M Zidane: -M Zidane Understudy: Description: Zidane is a young male thief who is best described as a "Ladies man". He is very flirtatious and loves to impress women. However his crush who he's fallen hard for Princess Garnet seems unaffected by his efforts to impress her.
Accent: May be American or British but speak proper English with crisp consonants. Use native accent when speaking do not force one or the other! Voice: Medium - Medium High -F Princess Garnet: -F Garnet Understudy: Description: Princess Garnet who is later known as Dagger in order to conceal her identity is a strong willed young Princess who's devotion to her Kingdom is unyielding. No one is sure why she ran away though but one may guess that she left because of the strange way the Queen has been behaving lately.
Accent: Very British -M Steiner: -M Steiner Understudy Description: Steiner is a stubborn Knight loyal to the Kingdom of Alexandria. His stubborn personality causes him and Zidane to butt heads quite often. He is very protective of Queen Brahne and Princess Garnet but a bit short sighted.
-M/F Vivi: -M/F Vivi Understudy: Description: Vivi is Male but can be played by a female. Vivi is a powerful mage who is very timid and shy. Very naive but intelligent and does not know his own strength.
Tantulus
Accent: Southern US (Imagined as a very husky or scratchy voice he may even be a little bit drunk) -Baku: Description: Much like a father to Zidane. He is the leader of Tantulus.
Accent: American -Blank: Description: A sort of brother to Zidane he tends to scold Zidane for his rash behavior.
Accent: American (His English is a bit lazy leaning towards southern style) -Cinna:
Accents: Zenero and Benero are both twins therefore can be played by one actor or actress. There is no set accent just try and make them sound fun and silly! -Zenero: -Benero:

Lmao! Seems so, eh? I'm trying to look for lines to audition for selected characters because I was going to post separate vids in bulk to elliminate waiting. I was actually thinking of making a folder of character lines that were completed in case something happened to me or my net which would have all the lines for the characters done already. I've wanted one of those for so long now. Just so that if one of my actors can't do something, I have all their lines anyway. All that person would have to do is request the files from me. If I'm cast as a certain character in your dub, I might send you a bulk of all the lines that character ever has and then fill in or redo what I need to. It would really save time and frustration for any director I would think when deadlines are considered. Even if they're not used now, the director might go back and complete it later, right? But I'll see what happens.

Something I just want to be clear about regarding the audition lines... for example, say someone's auditioning for Zidane. He has lines in both the "main character" section as well as the section below with Blank, Cinna, and Baku. Should they use the lines in that section as well, or just go with the ones in the top section?
