In any case, I likewise am interested in an update, as the Skype 'press release' has yet to be dated. And I use 'press release' to define as who survives for Part 2 and who doesn't.

ok long awaited update!
I've compiled quite a few of the sprites and their movements (which is THE longest process as it is the basis on all possible movements) also Shoester is working on the art. no date in sight just yet but I must remind you all that this isn't a fast project at all... this holiday season will be a little slow due to interests of everyone, as well as me... I will still continue regardless.
I'm thinking there will be at least one possible update in the near future (namely mid to late december). and also... MAX!!! I NEED THE STORIES AND SCRIPTS!!!

until I get a new program of a flash animation device I cannot continue (I reformatted my hard drive along with my Pirated versions of flash 8 and MX)

You can always search the internet for old Flash Trials, and use them all until you can afford to buy a new version.
At least, that's what I'm doing ;-;
