EDIT: The auditions are officially closed from this point onwards. Big thank you to each and every one who send in an audition, the decisions haven't been easy to make, and one is still pending. Hello, I'm an animation student from Finland, and I'll be starting my final animation project next August. I've been planning to make my animation in English, and I'll be needing 3 voice actors, 2 males and 1 female, who speak fluent English. I also need you guys to be dedicated and trustworthy, this is an important project to me. Anyway, here's some info about the story and characters!
Wings
The animation is about guardian angel brothers, Nibori and Yori, who have come to earth on a relatively small mission. Having trouble finding the person they're supposed to save, the older brother, Nibori, gets annoyed and decides to take a breather elsewhere while the younger brother, Yori, decides to finish the mission by himself. While Nibori strolls down the streets, he stumbles upon a weird girl, Maria, who is standing on a bridge railing. Maria reachers towards the sky and suddenly her feet slip, making Nibori react and race towards her. Will he be able to rescue the girl...?
The animation will be something between 3-5 minutes long. If I happen to find all 3 voice actors from here, I will give you all a more detailed script and the storyboard as well, but this is all the info I'm willing to give about the plot for now.
Nibori (CAST)
Male
Age: about 20
Personality: Seems calm on the outside, but gets annoyed easily and can act a bit childishly.
Voice: Medium or low pitced, not any particular accent. Both British English and American English will suffice. Articulate but not too polished.
Audition Lines:
1. Great, the old coot is messing with us! (annoyed)
2. Whatever. This wasn't my job to begin with, so I'm leaving. (indifferent)
Yori (CAST)
Male
Age: about 20
Personality: Takes his job as a guardian angel very seriously. Has a very positive attitude and seems to find good in all things. Tends to speak too fast when gets excited.
Voice: High or medium pitched, no particular accent. Both British English and American English will suffice. Sounds upbeat even when tries to be serious.
Audition Lines:
1. Hey, don't talk about God like that, Nibori! (scolding, surprised)
2. Well, I'm going to keep looking. (determined)
Maria (CAST)
Female
Age: 19
Personality: Absendminded, seems to be sleepy all the time. It's hard to get a reaction out of her. Not very animate and is a bit dense. Doesn't understand why people tend to get frustrated with her.
Voice: Medium pitched. No particular accent. Both British English and American English will suffice. Sounds a bit melancholic.
Audition Lines:
1. I didn't really care whether I'd fall or not.
2. For a second there I even saw wings on your back. (chuckles awkwardly)
Recording and Sending Information
You can sen your audition files in either .wav or .mp3 forms. Try to get as clean sounds as possible, avoid having background noises on the file.
