If money's not an issue, then by all means go for it! I just thought it was a factor since you mentioned your financial status. If you got into Pratt, you've got to have talent. Good luck!

Just gave my little sister a Korg Kaossilator. I'm so bad at gift-giving, but this was the first time I've seen her face light up like that. She's still sitting on the living room floor messing around with it, school project completely forgotten. Shit. My b.

It may just be the snobby hipster-prick in me, but if you don't quite understand animation or voice acting, you may just be boarding the bandwagon for the sake of boarding. And I reeeally don't like it when people do that. I understand that it's how MLP gained much of its fanbase, and that's super, but it still irks me.
Every time someone asks, I have to justify my liking for the show by saying that the quality of animation is pretty good (it's actually pretty great), and I think it's a decent enough reason to suffer the pointing fingers. And I'm sure some of you VAs justify your liking for the show by saying how the voice acting's pretty good (again, it's actually pretty great). These are real reasons, legitimate reasons we can expand on, reasons beyond "I just like it".
I talked to a MLP fan recently. I tried to strike up a conversation about how I loved Applejacks's animator(s?), and how I admired the decisions that they made. He had no idea what I was talking about. So then I brought up story, and voice acting, and design... he was clueless. It was really frustrating.
I dunno... that's just me, though. I guess when it comes to stories, I'm very particular about what I like. It's probably why I want to be an animator.
You know you've been editing audio too long when you start seeing animals in your spectral frequency display.
Oh you know...you've got those sine waves, saw-tooth waves, platypus waves, and gorilla waves. I find that gorilla waves, when amplified, tend to add super star quality to your recordings.

So, after Skyping with D-Mac, I decided that it is about time for me to get off my ass and start singing again. Sounds like a good project for the summer, as my Saturdays are now freed up. I can do it! I feel like a winner! Yeah!
Plus, this falls under my never ending quest to woo Shoe.
