As a member of both the VAC and VAA, I’d noticed that there wasn’t a thread dedicated to recommending certain amateur VAs or Producers. Sure, there’s a thread on the VAA about saying something nice about the person above you, and there may be the odd comment on an audition thread about how this person is great to work with, but there’s not really a designated place.
I think it’s important to recommend a fellow Voice Actor or producer of the VAC to help them drum up a little more interest in a casting call, or encourage the flow of emails in the inbox about more exclusive voice acting opportunities. But as we all know, regardless of your role in the club, you offer up a lot of your time, and most of the time it’s freely. Simply showing appreciation for one giving up their time for the sake of a project deserves recognition, so hopefully this thread will make it possible!
So if you have someone you’d like to recommend that is a member of the VAC, whether it’s for their prompt emailing, amazing direction, incredible talent, etc, post it here and let others take notice.
Thanks!

As I recall, there used to be a thread (or was it both here and at the VAA? can't remember) that was actually specifically designed for rating and commenting on VAs and producers. Clearly it isn't going anymore, and I suppose that something of that nature -- set, "official", something of a rigid system -- is difficult to maintain and perhaps even off-putting.
So I guess a nice, more informal place to post some honest positive comments seems like a lovely idea. I'll put my thoughts together and hopefully be back with some contributions!

Brilliant! I can’t wait to hear about some of the people you love to work with!
It was hard to pick one person for now, but I must say that chakrax (aka, Aaron Cowdery) was wonderful to work with on ‘Eclipse Force.’ Luna was one of the first roles I ever got casted as on the VAC, and I had NO IDEA that his other videos, particularly the Sonic: Nazo Unleashed Videos were so popular until I’d already gotten cast in Eclipse. So I was just incredibly humbled. He gave amazing direction, and I admire someone who doesn’t settle for second-best. So many emails were sent back and forth to bring out the best performance, and he was pretty patient with me given my complete noob-like ways! He knew what he wanted, yet wasn’t rigid in his ways of thinking. For example: Luna was originally going to be American, but after discovering I was Australian and tweaking the voice a little, he liked the sassy feel for Luna. His animation skills are incredible, he is awesome, and I’d love to work with him again (Now that I have some more experience & a better mic!)! If chakrax ever has another casting call on the VAC, I urge anyone and everyone to audition. You will not regret it!
